The TRIMS optical imaging system provides the basic functions for scanning and making electronic copies of any paper document (e.g., quality control, patient demographics, and other documents that are accessible electronically) and also provides complete Release of Information (ROI) fulfillment, reporting and management functionality.

The IDS Electronic Signature and Chart Completion Module allows physicians to sign documents electronically, even from remote locations. If a document requires more than one signature, the system automatically sends the document to all doctors in the physicians queue who are required to sign. This feature also allows physicians assigned to specific practice groups to sign on behalf of colleagues during vacation times, out-of-office hours, and in medical emergencies.

The IDS Chart Deficiency Module analyzes and identifies missing information in medical information charts and automatically sends letters to physicians notifying them of the chart deficiencies. When this module is in line with your transcription system, the software will record completed dictations and send them automatically to the physicians queue.

After records are scanned, the system will automatically put charts into the appropriate work queue based on your methodology for assigning work to coders.
